Ethiopian Orthodox Christians Attacked by Islāmic Terrorists

Addis Ababa: Islamic terrorist attacked a group of Orthodox Christians who were attending morning prayers at St Michaels Church (Oromia Jimma Zone, Kunbi Wereda Kumbi). The attack took place during the early hours of 15th June 2016.

As per the available information, the attackers came from Addis Ababa and attacked the Christian faithful with swords. Two Christians were severely injured, along with 5 Muslims in the Village. One of the terrorists was arrested.

Patriarch Abune Mathias visited the injured who are now under treatment in Addis Ababa. The Ethiopian Patriarchate will cover the entire cost of the treatment and will make the necessary follow-up with the government.
