The Divine Liturgy of Holy Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ kicked off at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The officiating priest at mass is Catholicos of All Armenians is Karekin II.
The president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan accompanied by his wife Rita Sargsyan was present at the Liturgy, as well as NA President Samvel Nikoyan, Prime Minster Tigran Sargsyan, Ministers, accredited ambassadors in Armenia, political and cultural activists, many other people.
In all Armenian churches the Liturgy has kicked off too.
