Consecration of the foundations of Saint Stefan of Decani church

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno consecrated yesterday on August 13, 2012 foundations of the church devoted to Holy King Stefan of Decani in Zemun’s suburb of May the thirteenth. The church is built by people of this area along with members of the Special Anti-terrorist Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Electronic Warfare Unit of the Serbian Army which are stationed close to this church.
Bishop Atanasije congratulated colonels Spasoje Vulovic and Branislav Ljusic for the successful mutual cooperation of police and military units, as well as for their cooperation with people of this area.
On this occasion also a commemoration was held for two boys killed 9 years ago in Gorazdevac in Kosovo and Metohia. Their murder has not been solved yet.
