Conference on ‘Revival of the Orthodox Iconography in Poland in the 20th Century’ Held

Warsaw-Poland: An international conference titled “The Revival of the Orthodox Icon (iconography) in Poland in the 20th Century” was held at the Supraśl Academy on the 18th of September 2021. Archbishop Jakub of Białystok and Gdańsk, Bishop Andrzej of Supraski, Chancellor Fr.Jarosław Jóźwik, several clergy and faithful attended the event.

Special gratitude was expressed by the Church hierarchy to Fr. Mitrat Leoncjusz Tofiluk, director of the Post-Secondary Iconographic Study in Bielsk Podlaski for his efforts to work with the new generation of Polish iconographers.

Several lectures on the revival of Polish iconography and allied areas were delivered by experts in the field.
