Condition of church leader Volodymyr serious, but stable, says Church

The condition of Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate), Metropolitan Volodymyr (Sabodan), remains serious, but stable, Archbishop Oleksandr (Drabynko) of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky and Vyshneve has said.
“According to his doctors, the condition of Metropolitan Volodymyr is currently serious, but stable. Reports in the media that he is in a coma are untrue,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery on Thursday, according to the official Web site of the church.
The archbishop said that Metropolitan Volodymyr) regularly receives communion and is asking his congregation to pray for him.
It became known on November 2 that Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Volodymyr (Sabodan) was hospitalized on October 30. Doctors said his condition was serious.
In late September, the church leader was discharged from hospital, where he was undergoing medical treatment for a hip fracture.
