Services are being held in the Moscow Assumption Cathedral and in all Orthodox churches across Russia and abroad to remember compatriots – clerics and laymen – who suffered for their faith in the tragic 20th century.
More than a thousand Russians, who were killed or died in prisons during repressions, have been awarded martyrdom over the past decade, and those who survived were proclaimed righteous.
