The Greek Orthodox Patriarch Ignatius IV Hazim said that Christians cannot assume a passive position with regards to the crisis running throughout regional countries.
The Assembly of Greek Orthodox Bishops convened on Thursday, under the chairmanship of Patriarch Hazim, at Balamand Notre Dame Church. Hazim said the church should remain the conscience for all faithful people and must never remain a mere bystander concerning the oppression and discrimination suffered by the people.
He called for achieving prosperity and equality in the Arab societies after the political changes invaded the region.
