Kottayam-Kerala-India: His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Paulose II (Catholicos on the Apostolic Throne of St. Thomas, Malankara Metropolitan, Moopan and Chief Custodian of the Malankara Nasranis and the Primate of the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church) received a delegation from the Russian Orthodox Church on 17/11/2019 at the Catholicate Palace, Kottayam, Kerala.

Historic Meeting Between Catholicos Baselios Paulose II and Patriarch Kirill Convened in Moscow

The Russian delegation consists of Bishop Clement, Hieromonk Stephan Igmnov (Secretary to the Desk of Oriental Orthodox Church of the External Church Relations of the Moscow Moscow Patriarchate) and delegate from Moscow Patriarchate. Fr. Abraham Thomas – Secretary to the Ecumenical Relations Department was present for the occasion.

The Russian and Indian Orthodox Malnakra Churches share extraordinary and historic relations. His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Paulose II was received by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russian in the month of September 2019.
