Catholicos of All Armenians Visited the Frontline in Artsakh

On the morning of September 8, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; accompanied by General-Major Vardan Balayan, visited the military positions in Artsakh, to convey his Pontifical blessing to the commanders and soldiers at the frontline. His Holiness was also accompanied by the members of the Supreme Spiritual Council.
“Our blessings, appreciation and gratitude to you, for your dedicated service that you are undertaking to keep our borders safe, and for maintaining tranquility for Artsakh and the people in Armenia”, stated the Catholicos of All Armenians.
Expressing his hope that the soldiers safely complete their tour of duty, His Holiness wished the youth a triumphant return to their homes.
His Holiness also toured the military positions to familiarize himself with the conditions. The Catholicos of All Armenians distributed crosses to the soldiers as well as gifted a cross icon to the chapel built by the soldiers.
