Catholicos of All Armenians received the Representative Delegation of Russian Intellectuals
On December 4th, in the Mother See, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received the Representative Delegation of Russian Intellectuals, accompanied by Mr. Zori Balayan, writer and Honored member of RA Culture.
During the meeting, His Holiness reflected on the historical close ties between the Armenian and Russian people, and sressed that they have a centuries-old bond that has always been marked by warmth and brotherly love. His Holiness stated that through the publishing of Zori Balayan’s eight-volume works by the “Khudozhestvennaya Literatura” publishing house, the Russian people will become newly acquainted to the struggles and cherished desires of the Armenian people.
The Catholicos of All Armenians expressed hope, that the friendly relations of the two peoples, due to to such visits and cooperation, will be fortified and strengthened without fail, leading them to new achievements over centuries and millennia.
During the meeting, His Holiness conveyed his blessings and appreciation to Mr. Zori Balayan, for his dedicated service to the Armenian nation, Homeland and Church.
The meeting was attended by His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, Director of the External Relations and Protocol Deparment of the Mother See.
