Catholicos of All Armenians Received Graduates from the Hovnanian School

On April 25, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; welcomed the graduate students from the Hovnanian School of New Jersey, USA. Accompanying them were Mr. Hratch Tufayan, Benefactor of the Mother See; and representatives of the school’s faculty staff.
During the meeting His Holiness extended his appreciation and blessings to the 8th grade students of the Hovnanian School, wishing them perseverance, vigor and success in their academic path.
The Catholicos of All Armenians gladly noted that the traditional visits of the students to Armenia served as unique encouragement for the young people to witness with their own eyes, all that they have learned of their Homeland and its rich history, and to become familiar with the national- religious mission of the Armenian church in the lives of the Armenian people, the sacred legacy in the Mother land and its virtues. “This visit will have a powerful impact on your self- awareness and you will be more proud to be the children of Armenia”, noted His Holiness Karekin II.
The Catholicos of All Armenians urged the young people to maintain strong bonds with the Armenian Apostolic Church and stay loyal to the national identity and spiritual values. At the conclusion of the meeting His Holiness also happily reflected on the patriotic spirit of the Hovnanian students’ parents, and the commendable diligence of the school’s principals and teachers, for keeping awake in the minds and hearts of the students the love for the Homeland, the Mother Tongue and Mother Church.
