Catholicos of All Armenians Received Chairman of the Russian Church Communities in Armenia
Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin – July – August 2017
On July 27, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Bishop Leonid of Vladikavkaz and Alania of the Russian Orthodox Church, Chairman of the Russian Church Communities in the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting they reflected on the warm relations and cooperation between the Armenian Apostolic and Russian Orthodox Churches. They particularly spoke about the issues related to the organization of the spiritual life of the Russian Church communities in Armenia and the future plans of cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed his brotherly love and best wishes to His Holiness Kirill I, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.
Bishop Leonid expressed gratitude to the Catholicos of All Armenians for his constant care and attention.
Attending the meeting were His Grace Bishop Moushegh Babayan, Director of the Admisitrative Department of the Mother See; and Very Rev. Fr. Shahe Ananyan, Director of the Ecumenical Relations Department of the Mother See.
