Catholicos of All Armenians met with Governor of St. Petersburg

Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II visited St. Petersburg on the occasion of celebrations dedicated to 300th anniversary of local Armenian community. Catholicos met with the Governor of St, Petersburg
Valentina Matvienko on June 28.
The sides touched upon the cooperation and close relations of Armenian Apostolic and Russian Orthodox churches, as well as productive partnership of Armenia and Russia, Holy See of Echmiadzin informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
During his visit, Karekin II met with members of Armenian Apostolic Church Russian diocese and discussed Church related issues of the community.
At midday he attended the opening ceremony of cultural center “Armenian-Russian Friendship” in Saint Petersburg.
