Catholicos Karekin II and European official discussed problems of Armenian Churches

On December 20, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received European Parliament’s rapporteur on Armenia Tomasz Poreba accompanied by MP Artak Zakaryan.
His Holiness Karekin II spoke of the difficulties that Armenian Apostolic church faced during the 1915 Armenian Genocide and Soviet period, consequences of which are still notable, press service of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin informed NEWS.am. He also touched upon relations between church and state, as well as cooperation in different spheres for the good of Armenian people.
