Catholicos Aram I to Petition Turkish Court for the return of Historic Sis Catholicosate to the Armenian Orthodox Church

Yerevan: The Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia and Primate of the Armenian Orthodox Church in Lebanon, His Holiness Aram I stated that he will file a petition with the constitutional court of Turkey to persuade for the return of the historic Sis Catholicosate back to the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church.

At the 5th Armenia-Diaspora conference in Yerevan, Catholicos Aram I stated that he will apply to the European Court for Human Rights provided the Turkish Court rejected the petition. He also added that Armenia will always keep fighting for justice.

Catholicos also reminded everyone about the voice raised by Armnein youth 1965 for the return of the illegal confiscation of the Armenian property. He also urged that every Armenian at homeland, far and abroad must raise their voice for justice. The year 2015 that marks the 100 anniversary of the Armenian genocide will be the most appropriate time for the great demand for justice.
