On September 17 the Bulgarian Orthodox Church glorified St. Sofia the Martyr and her daughters Faith, Hope and Love.
September 17 is one of the patron saint’s day of the ancient Sofia’s church Sancta Sophia – the Church of Holy Wisdom and the day of Sofia. On this occasion today two bishops will hold the Holy Liturgy at 9.00am in the church.
The ceremony was attended by His Holiness Maxim, patriarch of Bulgaria and Most Reverend Ruse Metropolitan Neofit.
