Buehler: KFOR protecting only four monasteries as of March 1

KFOR Commander, German General Erhard Buehler said that after reducing the number of international troops in Kosovo, as of March 1, only four monasteries – Visoki Decani, St. Archangels, Devic and the Pec Patriarchate – will remain under the protection of KFOR.
KFOR Commander, German General Erhard Buehler said that after reducing the number of international troops in Kosovo, as of March 1, only four monasteries – Visoki Decani, St. Archangels, Devic and the Pec Patriarchate – will remain under the protection of KFOR.
He pointed out that special attention will be paid to further transfer of competencies to the Kosovo Police Service in terms of monasteries in Kosovo, and that he seriously takes the concern of the Serbian Orthodox Church on this issue.
Buehler said that he expects of the future dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade to contribute to better security situation, which is in the interest of all .
