Blessing & Dedication of Icon at Parumala Seminary Church by Catholicos Baselious Paulose II

Parumala-Malankara- India: His Holiness Moran Mor Baselious Marthoma Paulose II – Catholicos on the Apostolic Throne of St. Thomas and Metropolitan of Malankara presided over the blessing and dedication ceremony of the newly painted Orthodox icon at Parumala Seminary Church. The new icon is painted on the wall of the major Altar of the Parumala Seminary Chruch.

The dedication ceremony was assisted by Metropolitan Abraham Mar Ephipanios of Sultan Bathery, Metropolitan Gevarghese Mar Yulios of Ahmedabad and several priests. The icon painting project was lead by Fr. Aswin Fernandez – Executive Secretary at the Ecumenical Relations Department of the Malankara Church.

The Parumala Seminary Church is a well-known pilgrimage center (worldwide) and it is the final resting place of St. Gregorious of Parumala – the first canonized Indian Saint.
