On the 35th Sunday after the Pentecost, the members of the Council of Archbishops joined in common prayer at Christ the Savior Cathedral

At the Divine Service, Bishop Sava of Tiraspol and Dubasari was raised to the dignity of Arch-Bishop.

Archbishop Sava was born of the 27th of September 1958 in Mordovia. Graduated theology schools in Moscow. In 1986 was tonsured into monasticism, and later ascended all steps of monastic priesthood. In 1995 is ordained bishop and appointed patriarchal vicar. In March 2010 is appointed bishop of Tiraspol and Dubasari.
In present, the Diocese of Tiraspol and Dubasari contains 85 parishes, has 2 monasteries, 14 chapels, and one spiritual school.
