Bangalore Diocese of the Malankara Church Donates 16000 Dollars For Poor Covid Patients

Bengaluru-India: The Bangalore Diocese of the Malankara Church (Indian Orthodox Malankara Church) has become a role model by donating an amount of 12 Lakh rupees (16000 dollars) as a helping aid for the economically poor Covid infected Psychiatric patients of NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health And Neuro Science), Bangalore.
Metropolitan Abraham Seraphim, Diocesan Secretary Rev. Fr. Santhosh Samuel and Council members Mr. Mathew Jacob and Mr. Zacharia Mathew, handed over the Cheque to Dr. Satish Chandra Girmaji, Director of NIMHANS. The amount handed over was raised as part of the various programs initiated by the Bangalore Diocese in aiding those who have suffered due to the Pandemic.
Dr. Satish Girmaji remarked that “this helping hand for the Covid infected Psychiatric patients is invaluable considering the present scenario where this kind of support often goes unnoticed.”
The NIMHANS Nurses welfare association honoured Met. Abraham Seraphim and his group. Dr. Mohan Issac and Smt. Rany Jacob was also present for the occasion.
