Bako Sahakyan visits the residency of the Armenian Apostolic Church Patriarchic exarch in Moscow

On 21 December Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan visited in Moscow the residency of the Armenian Apostolic Church Patriarchic exarch. President Sahakyan together with primate of the New Nakhichevan and Russian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Patriarchic exarch bishop Ezras Nersisyan walked around the construction site of a new cathedral and church complex and got acquainted with work carried out there.
Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh Republic President told Armenpress that thereupon Bako Sahakyan and bishop Ezras Nersisyan discussed a wide range of issues related to interrelations between the Motherland and the Diaspora, the church and the society. President Sahakyan considered important the role of the Armenian Apostolic Church in strengthening the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity, consolidating our compatriots living outside the Fatherland and their patriotic education. The NKR President noted that the new church complex being built in Moscow will substantially contribute to solving the above mentioned issues as well as further cementing friendly relations between the Armenian and Russian peoples.
Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation Oleg Yesayan, NKR President’s adviser Armen Isagulov, head of the central information department of the office of the NKR President David Babayan, NKR permanent representative to the Russian Federation Albert Andryan and other officials partook at the meeting.
