Bako Sahakyan and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II Met
On 27 September President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited Mother See on Holy Etchmiadzin and met Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, central information department of the office of Artsakh Republic President informs.
Issues related to the state-church interrelations and spiritual life of Artsakh were discussed during the meeting.
The President considered the Armenian Apostolic Church among pivotal bases of independent Armenian statehood and strengthening the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity.
The Supreme Patriarch introduced to President Sahakyan the large-scale construction activities carried out in Mother See that would contribute to raising the efficiency of the church’s activity and upbringing of the younger generation.
On the same day Bako Sahakyan met in Yerevan with British philanthropist of Armenian origin Vache Manoukyan and discussed issues related to the realization of different programs in Artsakh.
