Azerbaijan to finance restoration of mosque, Orthodox church in Serbia

Azerbaijan will assume financing of restoration of the orthodox church of Saint Peter and Bayrakly Mosque in Serbia.
The statement came from Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Romania and Serbia Eldar Hasanov.
‘We have decided to restore the historical mosque Bayrakli dated to the Ottoman empire in Belgrade and medrese that was burnt by Serbian radicals in 2004. Additionally, Azerbaijani government will also finance restoration of the Orthodox Church of Saint Peter in the Serbian city Noviy Sad’, the ambassador said.
