At Boryspil Airport His Holiness Patriarch Kirill Answered Journalists’ Questions
26-07-2010
On July 25 at the Kyiv airport Boryspil His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, who arrived from Dnipropetrovsk to the capital of Ukraine, shared his impressions with the journalists of his tour of the dioceses of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
“I had a very good impression of visiting Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk. Once I have been to Odessa, but I have never been to Dnipropetrovsk. It gave me an opportunity to see how people live in the cities, to understand the modern life of Ukraine. Indeed, it is better to see once for oneself, than to read of hear. I saw energetic people, in a very hopeful mood. The people motivated by strong and fervent orthodox faith.
To my deepest persuasion, Ukraine has a very good future ahead and may God help all of us to work for this future”.
Answering the question on the results of the meeting with President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych, His Holiness underscored that his meeting with President of Ukraine was of a personal and pastoral nature, and no political issues were discussed in its course.
