Armenian sportsmen received by Deputy Patriarch of Constantinople
On August 20, Armenian basketball players who arrived in Turkey within the framework of a sports exchange program visited Constantinople Patriarchate of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
A group of Armenian sportsmen was received by Deputy Patriarch of Constantinople Archbishop Aram Ateshyan. He told the Armenian teens about history of the Armenian community of Turkey. Thereafter, the guests visited museum after Patriarch Hovhannes Kolot .
Former NBA player George Muresan will train Armenian and Turkish teens during a sports exchange program on August 19-29 in Turkey. The program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Sports United project and organized by the nonprofit World Learning organization.
