14/9/2010
Turkish media publications target constitutional changes, referendum and its results. Currently 151, 853 boxes out of 151,870 are opened. Turkish referendum had 77% of participation 57.9% out of which said “yes” and 42,1% said “no” to the constitutional changes.
It’s interesting to note that an Armenian church has been used as a voting place. Turkish “Haberler” reported an Armenian church in Kayseri state was turned into a gym and currently is a voting place.
Erdogan has undertaken the constitutional changes to make Turkey more integrated into the European values. But his administration organizes the referendum using the holy place of another nation violating their religious feelings.
