Argentinean president received Catholicos of All Armenians

Argentinean President Cristina Fernandez Kirchner received on Monday Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II in the course of his visit to Buenos Aires.
During the meeting the President appraised role of local Armenian community in political, economic and social life of the country which, in her opinion, is the best bridge for further development of Armenian-Argentinean relations.
Karekin II expressed his gratitude to leadership of Argentine for warm attitude towards the Armenian community expressing hope relations between the states and nations will strengthen.
Later the same day, Garegin II awarded Argentinean-Armenian businessman and philanthropist Eduardo Eurnekian a Knight of Holy Etchmiadzin medal, RFE/RL reports.
Eurnekian is manager of Zvartnots international airport.
