Archbishop Chrysostomos calls for Cyprus solution
In his Christmas message, read in all churches , Archnishop Chrysostomos notes that the strength of the message of the lord born into humanity rises above all the problems that Greek Cypriots face today, with occupation being the foremost.
The head of the Cyprus Church says that efforts to reunify Cyprus must not stop.
He called on the government and political leadership to intensify steps in securing the rights of the people of Cyprus, who belong to the great family of European nations and must therefore fight for the rights that all Europeans enjoy.
Referring to the financial crisis, Archbishop Chrysostomos says that in spite of his own early warning signals and while many others were also demanding measures in preventing bad situations, things were left to deteriorate to the situation that is being faced today.
Ιn these tough times, we are all obliged, he added, to take our share our responsibility.
