Allentown has City Council’s approval to condemn the final piece of land that the city says is needed for the long-awaited $60 million American Parkway bridge project.

The small parcel of land, owned by St. George Orthodox Church on Catasauqua Avenue, is where the city wants to create a road to alleviate traffic from the bridge that would link downtown Allentown and Route 22.
