Finland: A record-breaking 35 out of eighty applicants have been accepted into the Orthodox theology program at the School of Theology of the University of Eastern Finland for Autumn.
The Finnish Orthodox Seminary in Joensuu is where the University students engage in applied studies and liturgical exercises. The seminary offers a renovated cosy dormitory, affordable breakfast and Church services.
The Finnish Church has been facing a shortage of employees. The Church hopes to overcome such difficulties with the completion of the studies of the new batch at the Eastern University. The University has campuses in Kuopio and Joensuu.
