NEW JERSEY: A great book under the title “Mission of the Church” is currently on the Church book Stores in Kerala; a book to be read by every faithful of the Holy Church. It helps us to understand our Church and its faith that carried centuries by our Holy fathers. The author of the articles on various topics is none other than late lamented Dr. Paulose Mar Gregorios, who was known to the Christian world as a great theologian, Philosopher and orator from Malankara Orthodox Church. He served the World Council of Churches as one of its presidents and on its central committee for many years. His contributions are ever remembered by the Christian world.

The book “Mission of the Church” is a compilation of various articles into four parts. The first part holds the ‘Tribute to the World Citizen’ as well as three articles of Late Lamented Mar Gregorios in English. The second part holds eight articles in Malayalam, authored by the venerable Metropolitan Dr. Mar Gregorios. The third part holds a Litany for peace composed by Dr. Mar Gregorios. The fourth part holds opinions of four eminent personalities on the life and vision of Dr. Mar Gregorios. In fact it is a noble and novel idea to introduce these to readers have never read them.

The book “Mission of the Church” is published by Gregory of India study center as an attempt to keep up the memory of the Church Father ever memorable.

“The idea behind this publication is to reintroduce the faith of our holy Church, especially to our new generation who lives abroad” says Fr Dr. T. P. Elias, who toiled a lot for the co-ordination and total compilation of the book from various published and unpublished sources.

These are planned as an attempt to uphold the blessed memory of Dr. Paulose Mar Gregorios, in the years to come. It is doubtless that His Grace Metropolitan Dr. Paulose Mar Gregorios was a precious gift of God for the entire humanity and in particular for the faithful of His Grace’s Mother Church”, says Metropolitan Geevarghese Mar Coorilos of Mumbai Diocese and also the President of P M G M C Trust, in his forward of this book.
