The US Visit of His Beatitude Metropolitan Christopher of the Czech Lands and Slovakia Comes to an End

On February 28, 2011, after praying at Divine Liturgy at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign” at the residence of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, His Beatitude Metropolitan Christopher of the Czech Lands and Slovakia visited the New York headquarters of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. There he met with His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios.
His Beatitude then visited St Vladimir Orthodox Theological Seminary of the Orthodox Church in America, where he was given an Honorary Doctorate in Theology. After the ceremony, His Beatitude Metropolitan Jonah, the Primate of the COA, gave Metropolitan Christopher the Order of St Innocent.
That evening, His Beatitude Metropolitan Christopher departed to Prague.
