Armenian Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator Singapore marks 175th Anniversary

PanARMENIAN.Net – The Trustees of the Armenian Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator Singapore and the Armenian community in Singapore invite Armenians from around the world in celebrating the 175th anniversary of the consecration of the first church in Singapore, the Armenian Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator.
Consecrated on 26 March 1836, the Armenian Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator Singapore to this day endures as an important symbol of the strength of Armenians communities worldwide.
A series of religious and cultural events are planned in Singapore for March 26-27, 2011.
The Church is funded solely by generous support from Armenians living in the region and abroad.
