To Enhance Dialogue among Various Cultures and Religions

DAMASCUS- President Bashar al-Assad reviewed on Thursday with Ieronymos II, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece and the accompanying delegation the historical ties between Syria and Greece, and the friendly relations binding the churches of the two countries, and means of enhancing and consolidating them.
The two sides underlined the importance of dialogue and enhancing it among various cultures and religions.
The delegation expressed appreciation and admiration for the spirit of fraternity, amity and peace they felt in Syria.
The meeting was attended by His Beatitude Ignatius IV Hazim, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for the Roman Orthodox , Syria’s Ambassador to Greece and the Greek Ambassador in Damascus.
