Secretary for the UOC Primate blessed the cross for the Church of St Yaroslav the Wise

On January 21, on the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr, Secretary for the UOC Primate archbishop Alexander of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyy performed the rite of blessing of the dome cross for the Church of the Holy and Right-Believing Prince Yarosalv the Wise (Dniprovska Naberezhna str, 2а).

At the end of the service His Eminence Alexander conveyed the blessing of the UOC Primate, greeted the clergymen, sponsors and parishioners on the blessing and installation of the dome cross.

«The cross of Christ crowns the work that was done before its installation on the top of the church. May everyone looking at that cross will be strengthened by the power of God, imparted to the life-giving sign of the cross”, said His Eminence Alexander.

Also the Secretary for the UOC Primate thanked the donators and ktetors of the Church, who invested efforts into the construction and handed them the church distinctions. At the end, after the blessing the cross was installed on the top of the church dome.

To the point. The construction of the church of the Holy and Right-Believing prince Yaroslav the Wise on Dniprovska Naberezhna str. 2a was begun in the spring of 2010. The construction was made of Carpathian fir-tree. Since August the prayer services were conducted weekly in the church without ceiling. The first Divine Liturgy was performed on December 26. Today the church is in the process of construction, but the services are performed on the regular basis.
