UOC delegation goes to Bethlehem for sacred Fire

A delegation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), at the request of UOC Primate, the Metropolitan Volodymyr has left for Bethlehem to take the Holy Fire from the lamps burning over the birthplace of Jesus Christ.
The Orthodox Church, in addition to the Holy Fire coming down on Holy Saturday at the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem (it is traditionally brought to Ukraine on Easter Eve), has a tradition of the blessed fire. That fire, which is a blessing from the holy place.
