Vladivostok To Build Orthodox Cathedral Church

A slot in the city historical center is allotted for the church construction

VLADIVOSTOK, November 2, vladivostoktimes.com New Orthodox church will be built in Vladivostok in the city historical center. The Primorsky Territory Administration and Vladivostok Eparchy of Russian Orthodox Church made an agreement on allotting a land lot for construction, as the Primorsky Territory Administration press service reported to RIA PrimaMedia.

The church will be built in the lot near Pacific Navy Headquarters which has been a place for snow storage in winter for a long time. Today it’s a place for pay parking lot made by the city authorities.

The construction of the Orthodox cathedral church near the central square is to start this year as was announced at the Territory Administration business meeting headed by the Governor Sergey DARKIN who expressed the initiative for construction.

“The church at the center of the Primorye capital will become the main Primorye church. The construction is to start this year,” announced Sergey DARKIN at the administration business meeting.
