Patriarchate of Alexandria and the Leventis Foundation Completes the Preservation of Hundred Manuscripts

Alexandria-Egypt: Patriarchate of Alexandria, and the Leventis Foundation completed the preservation of hundred ancient manuscripts of the Alexandrian Patriarchal Library. An event was held to celebrate the marvelous feat.
“These books will never die, they will always be studied by experts” stated Patriarch Theodoros II of Alexandria. “It is very important to work with our immediate neighbors in the Mediterranean, Greece and Cyprus, who we consider more partners than neighbors. The work of preserving the ancient manuscripts of the Patriarchate of Alexandria is a contribution to world culture” stated Alexandria Dr. Mustafa El Feki the Director of the Library.
The attempt for preserving the hundred oldest manuscripts began eight years ago and has been systematized in recent years with the support of the Leventis Foundation of Cyprus.
