Varna- Bulgaria: An event dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Medical University of Varna was held on the 2nd of October 2021. On the occasion, Metropolitan John of Varna and Veliko Preslav presented the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called (highest order of the Diocese of Varna) to Prof. Dr. Valentin Ignatov and to Prof. Dr. Silva Andonova (Executive Director of UMHAT “St. Marina” – Varna) for their outstanding services.

In his speech, Metropolitan John stated “For many years there have been blessed relations between the Diocese of Varna and Veliko Preslav and the leadership and the entire Medical University, as well as the University Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment” St. Marina “and all doctors who are here in our God-saved city”.
