Sayfo Monument Erected in Norrkoping (Sweden)

Norrkoping-Sweden: Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II erected a new Sayfo monument in Norrkoping, Sweden on the 21st of September 2021. Syriac Orthodox Prelates, Lars Stjarnkvist, the Mayor of Norrkoping, Lars Adaktusson, former Member of the European Parliament, other dignitaries and aa large number faithful were present for the occasion.

Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II spoke on reminded of the painful events connected to the Syriac Genocide Sayfo as well as on the importance of commemorating the sacrifice of the ancestors who lost their life to preserve the faith in Christ.
