The US-Ethiopian Bishops Urge End to ‘Diplomatic Pressure’

Washington-USA: Nearly seven Archbishops and Bishops of the Ethiopian Orthodox church in the USA and Canada met members of the U.S. Congress and urged them to refrain from pressuring Ethiopia in the light of the latest developments in the Horn of Africa nation which is going throw a series of ethnic and religious conflicts and turmoil that has killed countless Orthodox faithful and minorities.

The Orthodox delegation will also meet senior officials of the US Department of State and senators. Fitsum Arega, the Ethiopian Ambassador to the US thanked the efforts put forward by Orthodox Prelates.
