Patriarch John X of Antioch Expressed Gratitude to Patriarch Kirill, the Russian Church, the Russian People and the Russian Federation

Damascus-Syria: Patriarch John X of Antioch of an All-East, the head of the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch expressed his gratitude to Patriarch Kirill, the Russian Church, the Russian People and the Russian Federation for the help given to Syria during the civil war and internal crisis.

The Patriarch of Antioch stated, “I would like to thank His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, and the Russian Orthodox Church, the Russian people, the Russian state, who provides Syria with tremendous support in all its regions for the sake of peace, the destruction of terrorism and against all types atrocities.”

The Russian State and Russian Church have been major player in providing support to war-torn Syria. Since the beginning of the Civil war, the Russian Church has been providing emotional, material and cultural support to Syrians.
