Kottayam-Kerala-India: His Holiness Marthoma Paulose II (Catholicos-Mooppan, and Malankara Metropolitan), has tested positive for Covid-19. Primate of the Malankara Church has been admitted to the St Gregorious Hospital at Parumala as part of the treatment.

Reports state that the Catholicos is stable and he is currently presiding over the latest session of the Holy Episcopal Synod via video conferencing facility.

His Holiness Marthoma Paulos II is the reigning Catholicos-Mooppan and Malankara Metropolitan on the Apostolic Throne of St. Thomas of the Malankara Church. He is the chief custodian of the Malankara Nazranieth and head of the Malankara Nasranis.
