Mosul-Iraq: Mor Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf – the Syriac Orthodox Archbishop of Mosul visited the headquarters of the Nineveh Investigation Court (on the 6th of October 2020) that deals with the robbery of Syriac manuscripts and terrorism investigation case in Mosul. The manuscripts were robbed during the occupation of ISIS.
The Syriac manuscripts have been returned to the Syriac archdiocese of Mosul. A part of them belongs to the Al-Tahira Church, according to a report by the Fb page of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church.
Archbishop Mor Nicodemus sincerely thanked the concerted efforts generated by the security forces and the venerable court in the region for the help and support given in promptly returning the rare manuscripts to its rightful owners.
