Patriarch Abune Mathias Thanks Catholicos Baselios Paulose II

Addis Ababa- Ethiopia: His Holiness Abune Mathias Patriarch Abune Mathias (Co-Patriarch and Catholicos of Ethiopia, Archbishop of Axum, and Ichege of the See of Saint Taklehaimanot) extended his gratitude to His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Paulose II (Catholicos on the Apostolic Throne of St. Thomas, Malankara Metropolitan, Moopan and Chief Custodian of the Malankara Nasranis and the Primate of the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church) for the solidarity expressed over the brutal persecution of Orthodox Christians in Ethiopia.
A letter of solidarity from the Catholicos of the East was sent to the Patriarch of Ethiopia. The gratitude was expressed by Patriarch Abune Mathias during the bi-annual synod meeting of the Ethiopian Church which was held at the Church headquarters in Addis Ababa.
