Order of Saint Sava to Greek Ambassador Elias Eliadis

His Holiness Irinej, the Serbian Patriarch, awarded His Excellency Mr. Elias Eliadis, Ambassador of the Republic of Greece to Belgrade, with the Order of Saint Sava.
The ceremony at the Serbian Patriarchate on 1 April 2019 was attended by members of the Holy Synod of Bishops: Their Graces Bishops Irinej of Backa, Jovan of Sumadija and Milutin of Valjevo as well as by His Graces Bishop Stefan of Remesiana, Vicar Bishop of the Serbian Patriarch.
In the decision of the Holy Synod of Bishops, which was read by the Chief Secretary of the Synod protopresbyter-staurophor Dr. Savo Jovic, it is said that the high distinction of the Serbian Orthodox Church – Order of Saint Sava was given to Mr. Elias Eliadis, Ambassador of the Republic of Greece to Belgrade, for his effective love towards the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian people, especially shown during his responsible ministry of the Ambassador of the Republic of Greece to Belgrade.
The ceremony at the Serbian Patriarchate was also attended by: Mr. Dimitris Michalis, First Secretary of the Greek Embassy with associates; former cultural attaché Mr. Nikos Tsitsimilis; Colonel Gavalas, Captain of the battleship; Mr. Iorgos Papadopoulos, Colonel at the NATO mission to Serbia with wife Mrs. Nikolia; presbyter PanaiotisKaratasios, principal of the monastery of Holy Archangel Gabriel in Zemun; priest Dimitris Kasapis; representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Greece, members of the Greek community in Belgrade, representatives of the diplomatic corps, head of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch deacon Dr. Aleksandar Prascevic, maior domus of the Patriarchal Court Mr. Vladimir Jelic, editor in chief of the Information Service of the Serbian Orthodox Church protodeacon Radomir Rakic, representatives of the scientific and cultural life of the capital.
