Russia to donate 2 mln. dollars for restoring Orthodox shrines in Kosovo
Moscow, June 21, Interfax – Russia decided to make a voluntarily target contribution to UNESCO for financing restoration works of Orthodox shrines in Kosovo.
According to Vladimir Putin’s order posted at the official governmental website, 1 mln dollars will be transferred in 2010 and the other million – in 2011.
Putin instructed the Foreign Ministry to inform UNESCO about the decision and together with the Finance Ministry coordinate the procedure of transferring the donation.
