Writer Benyamin wins First Ever ‘JCB Prize’ – India’s Most Valuable Literature Prize

Kerala-India: World famous writer Benyamin (Benny Daniel) has won the inaugural JCB Prize for Literature. JCB Prize is India’s most valuable literature prize. The writer received Indian rupees 25 lakhs (US Dollar 34,108.50) as the prize money. He was chosen for the award for his novel ‘Jasmine Days’. The novel depicts the story of a young woman caught up in the Arab Spring protests of 2011. Benjamin, a faithful of the Malankara Orthodox Chruch of India is notable for his work’ Goat Days’.
OCP Secretary Honors Writer Benyamin with the Order of Three Saints
Benyamin is a celebrated Indian novelist and short story writer. He has won several honors including the Kerala Sahitya Academy Award and the Man Asian Literary Prize.
In June 2016, George Alexader, Secretary of Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE (Pan-Orthodox Christian NGO Movement) honored Benyamin with the OCP Order of Three Saints.
