Metropolitan Mar Yulios consecrates Malankara-House : Saints of Malankara Chapel at Galudan in Gujarat

GALUDAN, Gujarat: Ahmedabad Diocese Metropolitan HG Pulikkottil Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios has consecrated the newly constructed Malankara-House out house and ‘Saints of Malankara Chapel’, at Galudan, a village panchayat located in the Gandhinagar district of Gujarat.The ceremony was held on April 5, 2017 after the evening prayers.

Galudan is the new project of the Orthodox Diocese of Ahmedabad under Metropolitan Mar Yulios.

The Metropolitan also appointed Fr Philipose Abraham as the new Priest-in-Charge of the Malankara-House cum Saints of Malankara Chapel, vide Kalpana No 38/17. The vicar will discharge duties under the guidance and consultation with the new Ahmedabad Diocese Secretary, Fr James Geevarghese, and Aramana Manager, Fr Issac Thomas.

The Metropolitan also led the first meeting of the newly constituted Diocesan Council (2017-22) at St Thomas Bishop’s house, Naroda, Ahmedabad.

Mar Yulios later left for Sharjah, UAE, where the Metropolitan will be the chief celebrant for the passion week and Easter service at St Gregorios Orthodox Church, Sharjah.
