His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr Completes His Visit to Holy Land

On April 11 – 15 His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr was on a visit to the Holy Land.    

In the course of the visit His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr accompanied the Bethlehem Icon of the Mother of God, which visited Ukraine from April 3 through 11.  

During his stay in the Holy Land, His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr called to the city of Bethlehem, to which he returned the shrine and also prayed at the Cavern of the Nativity of Christ. Also His Beatitude Metropolitan met with the clergy of the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem and thanked for the possibility this icon’s stay in Ukraine.    

Besides, the Primate went to Jordan where he officiated a rite of the Great Blessing of Water,  following which the pilgrims from Ukraine, who also came to the river of Jordan had an opportunity to take a dip in its sacred waters.  

Also the Archpastor together with his accompanying persons called to the Holy Mount of Athos,  where they bowed unto the place of the Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord, Gornensky Convent, Russian Ecclesiastical Mission to Jerusalem, St Alexander’s Metochion near the Judgement Gates in Jerusalem and other places of the Holy Land.
